Our co-founders, Jane Anderson and Win Warren, started Autumn Leaves from frustration over their inability to find a quality facility for a loved one when Danny, Jane's brother, suddenly needed round-the-clock care. They placed him in a nursing home but kept changing facilities due to poor quality of care. Their family was torn and agonized over how and where to find a place where he could have a decent quality of life. After multiple attempts to find an assisted living community that could provide care for Danny, he passed away. After experiencing first-hand the burden that families face trying to find quality care, Jane, a registered nurse and Win, a successful real estate developer and entrepreneur started Autumn Leaves by deciding to “make something good out of something bad.” Rather than succumbing to hopelessness, they set out to raise the standards of care as only a family can. In fact, our founders' vision is now being managed today by the second generation.
Autumn Leaves was created specifically to accommodate residents with memory impairment. This design allows individuals to live in a residential environment that provides security and a more nurturing lifestyle. An uplifting, supportive environment allows residents to continue their lives as independently as possible with just the right amount of assistance. The residential atmosphere and layout at Autumn Leaves offers individuals space and freedom to pursue their hobbies and keep them active in a safe, secure, and comfortable environment.
